- Agriculture and Energy are critical to New Mexico's Economy.
- No matter where you stand, without control of the border, no one is making a choice, everyone is powerless.
- New Mexico has its own history, culture, and needs. We neither need, nor can afford, the policies of other states being blindly imposed upon us.
- It is not the right of the non-rural majority to enslave and control the rural population without their consent.
- It is worth the effort to seek less obvious solutions that may benefit all New Mexicans, not just those on one side of the argument.
- I will always seek to find the options that have a measurably positive effect on my fellow New Mexicans, rather than assume that the only options are those that we are given. Few situations truly have only two drastic and uncompromising alternatives.
- Above all, I want to stand up and fight for all New Mexicans, and this enchanting land that we all call home.
